Security blankets are for kids, ila products are for you!

Bad things happen to good people. Nope, let me rephrase that. Bad things happen to people.

So I was definitely excited to try out the Ila security line that promised to help:

The Who:

ila Security was launched in 2008, a joint collaboration with global communications agency BBH, whose clients include Audi, British Airways and Lynx/Axe. Its creation addresses what was a significant gap in the global market in the area of stylish female safety and personal security accessories.

A 2010 YouGov/Glamour magazine survey reveals that 68% of women are seriously concerned about their personal safety – and the same women also want to look stylish and fashionable. In response to this need, ila Security provides a must-have range of accessories that are chic, feminine and versatile.

Because when it comes to safety and style, there shouldn’t have to be a compromise.

Ila dusk

This innovative personal security alarm is designed to be kept on display as a fashion accessory – right where you need it to hand. Clip to your handbag, or use as a keyring, but don’t be misled by its shiny good looks. In a threatening situation, just pull the chain. You’ll activate an ear-piercing 130Db female scream that research has shown others are more likely to respond to than a traditional alarm, as well as disorientating an attacker.
I personally loved this alarm, it's easy to clip onto my backpack and my keyring and it emits a shrieking noise. ila also recommends that you recommend the device if it has been used once (it lasts upto 20 minutes)
Using this device is unbelievably simple: pull the chain at the base of the alarm to release the pin from the alarm and this emits a loud female scream, to deactivate: insert the pin back into the alarm.
It must be known that the alarm was designd for one continuous activation of eight minutes, but if not used, the battery is designed to last up to three years.

Ila pebble
I was happy to review this and share it with my husband. I do not think that safety is merely a womans' fear, therefore, this seemed perfect to use on his keychain set. This is designed as a quick two step process activation: press the center and pull the top of the keyring and it emits a loud piercing sound. To deactivate it, replace the top to original position.
I loved this particular piece too because a keychain is what everyone has and you instinctively fumble for it when in danger.

ila security offers three other variations: an ila sport: which is a pedometer and a running alarm for when jogging or walking alone at night, an ila hook, which is a handbag hook and compact mirror (a perfect fit to ensure your handbag never gets compromised) and an ila wedge for when you're feeling uneasy at home.

Overall, an excellent product line in a field that many have not attempted to tap into, it's a definite recommendation for anyone who feels unsafe and a needed precaution for everyone.
You don't will bad things to happen to people but they may happen, so gift a loved one an ila security item!
