Are you in on the coconut oil rage?

OK. So I'm a coconut girl and I'll tell you why. I'm from that part of the world where families grow coconuts at home, they make the oil from it and pretty much use coconuts as part and parcel of their life.

So.

When I was sent the Tropical Traditions coconut oil, I was thrilled to be able to review it to know how it would compare against homemade coconut oil and coconut oil companies in the market.

And I absolutely loved it!

When you open the bottle, you realize this one could be different. It smells fresh and light, not overbearing like some oils. It also had a most wonderful consistency to it that some oils do not.

I'm all for applying coconut oil to my skin (remember, I grew up in a family that had way too much of it than we cared,) and it felt silky. That's the word, silky smooth.

I also decided to make dinner with the coconut oil. I am pleased to report that the Indian curry and the breads that I made tasted most delicious even to my husband who typically does not like coconut oil. Way to go, Tropical Traditions!

From their website,

"...the products sold through Tropical Traditions are the products I have trusted to meet the needs of my own family."

That in short is why I love Tropical Traditions, because it is entirely reliable and because it delivers.

Other interesting things to note:
  • Organic coconut: The oil is organic and unrefined and it really cannot get better than that.
  • Power to the farmer: This is made by farmers and families using traditional methods.
  • High levels of antioxidants: Volcanic soil makes better antioxidants, so this one's a golden one!

But where would I use coconut oil in my routine, you ask?

Here is an excellent website to read about the health benefits of coconut oil: http://coconutoil.com

I'll go as far as to say this much, if you're not making homemade coconuts like my family is, Tropical Traditions should pretty much be your only other option!
